GRAY — Bob Crowley and Maine Forest Yurts will visit the Maine Wildlife Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, on Route 26.
Crowley is the Maine winner of the 2008 season of the TV show “SURVIVOR: Gabon.” He was voted the oldest winner in the show’s history. He also won the “Sprint Survivor of the Season” which is voted by the fans for their favorite player. His knack for the outdoors and his survival skills allowed him to comfortably play the game of Survivor.
After Crowley retired from teaching high school physics for 25 years, he started Maine Forest Yurts, which offers individuals, couples, families and corporate groups an eco-friendly camping experience where guests can connect with nature in the Maine outdoors.
Crowley considers himself a hybrid of Indiana Jones and Robinson Crusoe and loves the outdoors and is always ready for his next adventure.
