STRONG — A Milford man was injured Tuesday when the delivery van he was driving failed to yield the right of way and collided with a tractor-trailer truck at Route 4 and Main Street, police said.

The unloaded tractor-trailer truck, driven by Edwin White, 61, of Phillips, was traveling north on Route 4 when a delivery van traveling south on Main Street and driven by Richard Shirley, 70, of Milford struck the truck, state police Trooper Keith Barton said.

Shirley received minor injuries and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by a NorthStar EMS ambulance, he said.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Cpl. Christopher Chase assisted at the accident, which was reported at about 2:07 p.m. The Strong Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
