1976 – 2015
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Robert D. “Bobby” Hayward died quietly in his sleep at the age of 39 on Thursday, July 9, in Harrisburg, Pa.
He was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on Jan. 11, 1976.
He leaves behind two children, Abigail and Bobby Jr.; along with a younger brother, Ricky; sister, Mandy; mother, Darlene; and father, Richard.
He grew up in Monmouth, where he drove his teachers crazy, delighted the girls with his irresistible charms and challenged the boys to match his skills in doing double backflips off a rope swing into Annabessacook Lake. If their mothers only knew.
Although reluctant to leave his home in Maine after finishing high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a weapon specialist during Desert Storm.
After being honorably discharged from the military, Bobby returned home to establish his career and start a family. Everyone who Bobby touched was drawn to his playful and witty nature, and although he loved being with friends, his heart belonged to his children and spending every precious moment with them.
His magnetic and dynamic style of engaging everyone will be missed by his family, along with a very large group of friends.
