Food pantry to host free lunch
RANGELEY — The Rangeley Ecumenical food pantry,will sponsor a free lunch for the youths of Rangeley on the following Wednesdays: July 22, July 29 and Aug. 5.
The lunch will take place on the lower level of the baptist church on the corner of Main and Lake Streets.
The menu includes macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and beans, peanut butter and jelly, drinks and desserts. The church will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with activities and games. Lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

FAYETTE — The Underwood Memorial Library will hold story hours Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. throughout the summer until Aug. 20.
Church to hold lobster roll fundraiser
FARMINGTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church has announced its lobster roll bagged lunches are available through pre-order only with free delivery from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, throughout the Farmington area.
The church will also sell lobster roll bagged lunches in the park during the Farmington Summer Fest on Saturday, July 25.
Lunches include a clear meat lobster roll, chips, homemade brownie and beverage.

Library to host Spark’s Ark
MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will host Spark’s Ark with Josh Sparks at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, as part of the library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer program for children ages 2 to 14.
Spark’s Ark is a collection of live animals that have been rescued and rehabilitated by Josh and David Sparks of Windham. This educational program with Spark’s Ark live animals is for kids of all ages and will be held at the Calvin Lyons Hall, in the basement of the Mexico Town Hall building.
The program is free, but there will be a donation box available for anyone who would like to contribute to the program.

Senior citizens to hold barbecue
PERU — The Rumford Senior Citizens will be having a barbecue with music by Dennis Moro at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
They ask that those planning on attending to let them know if they prefer a hamburger, hot dog or veggie burger. There will also be salad.

Senior citizens to host trip
PERU — The Rumford Senior Citizens will host a mystery trip at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 31, from the old Peru school. Admission is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. There will be a bathroom on the bus. Those who plan on attending should prepare to pay for their own lunch.
Those attending will return between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Genealogy topic of society meeting
OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m.
After the business meeting the program of the evening will be provided by Nancy Milliken Mason, a genetic genealogist researcher with over 30 years experience. The program will explore three major test types of DNA testing: Y-DNA, MT-DNA and AT- DNA.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Guests and visitors are welcome.
