LEWISTON — The Directors of the Maine Community Foundation have approved a $5,000 advised grant to Museum L-A for general support. The grant was made from the Theodore Johanson and Patricia Lundholm Fund of the Maine Community Foundation at the recommendation of Pat Lundholm and Marcy Voelker.

The grant will allow further development of new and existing educational programs that have proven successful and are growing as well as furthering the momentum of a newly renovated exhibit of textiles, shoes, brick, the canal system and immigration.

“We are extremely thankful for this grant that continues our work of unlocking the magic of the mind as visitors are reminded as to how great a community we are, have always been and are aspiring to be in the future,” says Rachel Desgrosseilliers, Executive Director.

Museum L-A is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and by appointment.
