LIVERMORE FALLS — Regional School Unit 73 directors accepted the resignations of board member Tamara Hoke of Jay and two faculty members at a meeting Thursday.

Superintendent Kenneth Healey said Jay selectmen will appoint Hoke’s replacement within a couple of weeks.

The board accepted the resignation of Spruce Mountain High School science teacher Sherry Hooker, for the purpose of retirement, effective Nov. 1. The resignation of high school math teacher Susan Hastings was also accepted, effective the end of this school year.

Donna Landry, a former elementary teacher for RSU 10, was hired as a first-grade teacher at Jay Elementary School.

Healey also provided the board with updates on the status of an elevator project and replacement of the bleachers at Griffin Field. He said the elevator installation at the high school will likely be finished in late September or early October; the bleachers before Aug. 31.
