1926 – 2015
LEWISTON — Rita M. Noel, 89, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
She was born in Auburn on Aug. 10, 1926, the daughter of Joseph S. and Ida (Beaulieu) Doyon. She attended Auburn schools and graduated from the Edward Little High School in Auburn. After graduation, she was married to the love of her life, Laurier “Babe” Noel. Rita worked many years and was known by many patrons at Rolandeau’s Restaurant as a waitress and later as the hostess.
Rita is survived by three granddaughters, Melissa Noel, Jamie Noel and Jessica Hutchinson; many nieces and nephews, including Irene Harvey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Babe; son, John; and two brothers, Roland and Alfred Doyon.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Hospice House of Androscoggin and d’Youville Pavilion 4 East.
