AUBURN — Anita L. Lachapelle, 69, of 161 Poplar Hill Road, Turner, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston on Jan. 9, 1946, Anita was the daughter of Rosaire and Jeannette Gravel Latulippe. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of 1963. On Nov. 4, 1972, she married Gerald L. Lachapelle.
She was employed for several years as an administrative assistant to the attorney Jack Simmons, and then spent many years taking depositions for a variety of area attorneys. Later, She joined the L.L. Bean customer service team, retiring from that position around 2010.
Anita was a communicant of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish.
Besides her loving husband, Gerald of Turner, she is survived by two brothers, Marius and wife, Imelda Latulippe, of Lewiston, and Denis and wife, Lorraine Latulippe, of Ogunquit and Ft. Meyers, Fla.; a sister, Louise Fraser of Lewiston; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
