FARMINGTON — The 2015 Maine Office of Tourism “MOT on the Road” series will conclude in September with a presentation from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Franklin Memorial Hospital’s GH Bass Room.

The presentation will review the findings from the tourism market segmentation study and recent changes to the state’s tourism website, www.visitmaine.com, in response to a 2015 Web usability study, and will showcase the creative materials that have been used in the 2015 marketing campaign.

Staff from the Office of Tourism, within the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, will also offer instruction on how to post free business listings and events on the state’s tourism website, VisitMaine.com, and share other promotional opportunities for Maine’s tourism-based businesses.

Tourism-focused businesses and organizations are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn which visitor segments may offer the most potential value to their businesses, what the Maine Office of Tourism is doing to build visitation to Maine, and how they might align with the state’s tourism marketing campaign and benefit from strength in numbers in their own marketing efforts.

There is no fee, and no advance registration required to attend.
