JAY — The North Jay Water District has lifted the boil-water order Wednesday that went into effect Monday for customers who lost water because of a waterline break on Route 4.
All customers may now resume normal consumption of water from the system, as water samples that were tested at a lab in Augusta have been determined to be safe for public consumption, district Treasurer Ron Moreau said.
“The Water District wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident,” he said. “With special thanks to all who dedicated their time and talents to getting the word out and repairing the damage to the system.”
