JAY — Selectpersons appointed Doug DiPasquale Monday to represent the town on the Regional School Unit 73 board of directors.
DiPasquale will serve until the 2016 election, when he will have the option of running for a one-year position.
DiPasquale was the only candidate to show interest in the position, said Town Manager Shiloh LaFreniere, who is DiPasquale’s sister-in-law.
Selectpersons gave residents until Sept. 10 to submit information to the Town Office if they were interested in the position.
DiPasquale will fill the position left vacant when Director Tamara Hoke resigned in August. Hoke was elected in June 2014 to a three-year term.
