LEWISTON — Mary Anderson, a longtime occupational therapist with a specialty in pediatrics, has joined the faculty of the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College.

She is sharing her specialty in the school’s growing occupational therapy program. She will teach students skills for working with children and evidence-based occupational therapy practices.

She has served as an adjunct instructor the past two years.

Anderson grew up in Hiram, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of New England in Biddeford and her doctorate at Chatham University in Pittsburgh.

During her career, she has worked in hospitals and clinics and taught therapy on horseback.
