MEXICO — Police Chief Roy Hodsdon said Tuesday afternoon that his department will participate in the Drug Take-Back Program on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Two officers will be at the Town Office to accept any dangerous, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs.
The Drug Take-Back Program is a national initiative was formed through the federal Drug Enforcement Agency to curb the theft of prescription drugs and to remove the environmental hazards of drugs being flushed down the drain.
After the drugs are turned in, they are placed in an incinerator and destroyed.
