Bowl-A-Thon rescheduled
LEWISTON — The National Federation of the Blind’s Bowl-A-Thon has been rescheduled to Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The event will take place at Sparetime Bowling, 24 Mollison Way.
Discussion follows film showing at LPL
LEWISTON — The film, “Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World,” will be shown starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library. A facilitated discussion will follow the film. The program is free.

Auburn Library offering Chinese story time
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., will offer a four-week story time in English and Chinese Monday afternoons from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the Maggie Trafton program room from Oct. 3 through Nov. 2.
Chinese words and phrases and Chinese culture will be explored. There will be no program Monday, Oct. 12. The program is free and everyone is welcome.

Grange hosts bean supper
DANVILLE — Danville Junction Grange will host a bean supper on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Pownal church hosting supper
POWNAL — North Pownal United Methodist Church will host a baked bean and spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at 851 Lawrence Road.
On the menu are three kinds of beans, spaghetti with meat sauce, potato salad, coleslaw, biscuits, brown bread, pickled beets, pickles and homemade pies. Tickets are $8 for age 13 and older, $3 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children younger than 3. The event is wheelchair accessible.

Public supper at American Legion
GRAY — There will be a public supper to support veterans and their families from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, at the American Legion, 15 Lewiston Road.
Beans, casseroles, chowders and desserts will be served.
Cost is $8 for adults $4 for children 12 and younger.
