1929 – 2015
GORHAM — Evelyn Jepson Lemieux, 85, of Gorham passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland with her family by her side.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1929, in Lewiston, the daughter of Doris Gower Jepson and John Jepson. She graduated from Gorham State Teachers College and received her master’s degree in 1969.
Evelyn was a member of the Maine Teachers Association and taught in Martha’s Vineyard and New Hampshire, as well as 32 years with the Saco School Department before her retirement.
She enjoyed swimming at her camp on Sebago Lake, teaching young children and traveling with her husband in their motor home. She also enjoyed time with her family and friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her mother, Doris; and father, John; and sister, Joyce.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Polla Semple and husband, Glenn; son, David; grandchildren, Erika and Tyler; sisters, Dorothy Paquette and husband, Norman, Linda Dilodovico and husband, John; a close cousin, Connie Connors and husband, Pat. She also had many beloved nieces and nephews.
