JAY —  The Jay-Niles Memorial Library will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, in Memorial Hall. All proceeds will benefit the library.

Robert Harvey from the Health Markets Insurance Agency will be here to talk about signing up for the Affordable Care Act and Medicare at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in the library board room.

The library also has two ongoing book groups for adults, including a book and film discussion group and a Maine book group.

The next book and film is “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed. The film will be shown at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, and a discussion on the book will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The first book up for discussion in the Maine group will be “The Weir” by Ruth Moore. The date for this discussion will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Copies of both books are available to check out and read before the discussions.

Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. the library holds both its Lapsit program and its Preschool Story and Craft Time. The Lapsit program is geared for newborns to age 3, while the Preschool Story and Craft Time is for 4- and 5- year-olds.

Joyce Cunningham runs the Lapsit program and Priscilla Pineau, the children’s librarian, runs the Preschool Story and Craft Time.
