1973 – 2015

THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Kimberly J. Simpson, 42, of Summerfield, Fla., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Kimberly was born Feb. 13, 1973, in Bangor. She moved here in February 2013 from Lisbon.

Kim was the director of rehabilitation at The Club in The Villages. She was dedicated to her profession and devoted to helping others. She had a love of horses, especially Playboy and Mac.

She was very active in the Susan G. Komen three-day walk for breast cancer and The Dempsey Challenge for cancer. Kim was a tireless volunteer. Whether it was in the parent organizations of her son’s schools, on the sidelines of sporting events or at national fundraising campaigns, Kim found the time to contribute, and had received presidential recognition for her service.

Survivors include her life partner, Larry Partash; son, Gregory Scott Simpson; parents, Carol and John Dean of The Villages, Fla. and Richard and Pam Simpson of Hampden; brother, Kevin Simpson (Jennifer) of Raymond; niece, Hailey Young of Raymond; and paternal grandmothers, Doris Cyr and Mary Simpson.
