LEWISTON —A funeral Mass honoring the life of Corinne Bellefleur was celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Holy Cross Church, following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Cartwright celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
At the beginning of the Mass, the pall was placed on Corinne’s casket, which symbolized her baptism into new life, by her two children, Anne Dutil and Roger Bellefleur.
The First Reading was read by her goddaughter, Rella Bernabucci, who also read the Prayer of the Faithful. The offertory was brought up to the altar by her granddaughters, Michelle Gardner and Christine Dutil. Words of remembrance were expressed by her granddaughter, Monica Poulin and her great-grandddaughter, Mikayla Dutil.
Following the committal services, the song “Raise Me Up” was played in dedication to Corinne and all who have passed on in the Bellefleur family. The pallbearers were Matthew Bellefleur, Stevie and Robert Martin, Robert Poulin, Richard Bernabucci, Elaine Ziemba and Normand Plourde.
A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the services at the cemetery.
