RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Rene Walter Bernard was celebrated at noon on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford with the Rev. Greg Dube as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar assistant. Readings were proclaimed by David Blouin and Mark Belanger was the organist.
Musical selections included “Hosea,” “I Heard The Voice Of Jesus,” “Eye Has Not Seen” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” Committal prayers were recited by the Rev. Greg Dube. Military honors were provided by The Maine Military Honors Program of Augusta. Interment was in St. John Cemetery in Rumford.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
