This is in response to the Sun Journal story, “Auburn police, soldiers train” (Oct. 20) about a training session simulating a gunman’s attack on a building. As stated by Auburn Police Staff Sgt. Daryl Wilson, “At the end of the day we give the community a little extra security.”

Thank you for that.

The article also had this disturbing sentence, “Madmen have a habit of showing up where there’re not expected,” and yet voting booths are still placed inside the schools.
