What Lewiston does not need is a socialist, liberal mayor. Lewiston has a good mayor now. If it works, leave it alone.
The city does not need someone liberal who will try to sell his agenda to the hard-working taxpayers of Lewiston. Ben Chin wants to sell bond issues. Wake up, people. Someone has to pay for all those nice promises. Who will it be? Current taxpayers or their children? Or their grandchildren?
If Chin wants to run Lewiston like Boston or New York is run, he should go there. Not everyone has a chance to go to Bates College for four years on scholarships.
There are enough liberal socialists in charge up in Augusta now, Lewiston doesn’t need one here.
Lewiston has a mayor — Robert Macdonald. I thank him.
