Currently, the Lewiston Public School System is undergoing a decrease in teacher retention. After speaking with some teachers in the area, I found the reason was due to lack of representation on the School Committee. Teachers feel they are not being heard, but rather ignored. When teachers leave the school system, it creates weaker student-teacher relationships.

Having known Ben Martin for many years, I feel he has the leadership skills, along with the ears, to listen to all stakeholders. He has been an administrator for local group homes for nearly six years. His job requires building relationships with people in order to succeed.

With that being said, I am hoping Ward 4 residents will support Ben Martin in the November election. He has the skills and knowledge to help bring the Lewiston Public School System back to what it can be; a school system in which everyone involved has a voice.
