LIVERMORE FALLS — Regional School Unit 73 buildings and grounds director Kenneth Vining told the board Thursday night that all buses are expected to be relocated to the bus garage in Jay by next week.

The fleet has been housed at the garage at the former Livermore Falls High School, which is for sale. The board has scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, to review offers on the building.

Vining also announced that installation of an elevator at Spruce Mountain High School in Jay is expected to begin next week and take about two and a half weeks.

In other matters, foreign language teacher Maria Rier was granted permission to take between 30 and 40 high school French or Spanish students to Quebec City in May 2016.

The board unanimously approved a new position of coordinator for individual education programs for special education students. A district special education teacher will be appointed to the post and paid a stipend.

Special services director Tina Collins said the coordinator will improve efficiency for special needs staff and students.
