The Rumford Public Library and National Alliance of Mental Illness recently hosted weatherman Kevin Mannix, who talked about his book, “Weathering Shame,” which he co-wrote with his wife, Linda Rota. Susan Marshall, the children’s librarian, said that Mannix shared his life experiences, lessons, struggles and feelings of shame, as well as the stigma that results from growing up being exposed to alcoholism, severe depression and suicide. Pictured above are Tamara Butler, left, NAMI representative Dorothy Adams, and Mannix.
