GRAY — Author Kevin Hancock will be signing his book, “Not For Sale: Finding Center in the Land of Crazy Horse,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Fiddlehead Art and Science Center, 25 Shaker Road. A portion of the proceeds is being donated to Fiddlehead.
Hancock, a graduate of Lake Region high School and Bowdoin College, travels often to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where he has connected with residents and key organizations. He has created a nonprofit organization called “The Seventh Power” to support initiatives on the reservation and has published a book about his personal journey to the reservation, as well as the history and modern day life of the Oglala Sioux tribe.
