1945 – 2015
RUMFORD — Daniel L. Waleik, 69, of Peru, died on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Rumford Hospital.
He was born in Rumford on Dec. 30, 1945, the son of Anthony and Mary Ellen (Holman) Waleik. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Waleik Brothers Construction with his brother, John.
Daniel was married in Dixfield on June 25, 1975, to Betsy Horne, who survives of Peru. Other survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Waleik of Windham, Amanda Fearon and her husband, Joseph, of Hebron and Danielle Waleik of Peru; a son, Stanton Waleik of Peru; two brothers, John Waleik and his wife, Diana, of Mexico and Charles Waleik and his wife, Jo-Anne, of Wakefield, N.H.; a sister, Mary Jean Jodrey of Rumford; and two grandchildren, Emma Fearon and Joseph Fearon Jr. of Hebron.
