NEWRY — A public hearing and an update on the effort to build a new veterans’ memorial outside the Town Office are among the items on the agenda for the Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Town Office, said Town Administrator Loretta Powers.
In other business, a public hearing will be held at 5:10 p.m. to consider whether to approve a new liquor license for Deborah Doyle and her business, Here and Away Pub at 23 Skiway Road.
Board Chairman Gary Wight said at a previous meeting that the town has memorial plaques recognizing veterans of World War II, but it doesn’t list their names or the names of those who served in other wars.
