Nomination papers will be available after December 14 at the town office for the March 8, 2016 municipal elections in Orono.
There are two three-year terms available on the Orono Town Council. The terms of Mark Haggerty and Thomas Spitz are expiring. There is one three-year term available on the Orono RSU 26 Board of Directors. The term of Megan Sanders is expiring.
At least 25, but no more than 100, signatures of Orono voters are required to have a name placed on the ballot. The deadline for filing papers is on or before 4:30 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016.
