1956 – 2016

RUMFORD — James “Brad” Gallant, 59, of Hall Hill Road, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at his residence, following a courageous battle with heart disease.

He was born in Rumford on Dec. 28, 1956, a son of James E. and Sandra (Perry) Gallant.

Brad was educated in Mexico and Kennebunkport schools and was a graduate of Hampden Academy in Hampden, Class of 1975.

He was employed as a boilermaker with Local 29. Brad was a member of the Hog Association and was an avid Harley-Davidson bike rider. Brad also loved building and racing slot cars. He was a member of the River Valley Sportsmen Club.

He loved nature, feeding the deer at his house; his dogs, Chopper, Timber, Max and Bella. He didn’t really care much for Kathy’s chickens but secretly fed them anyway.
