1923 – 2016

POLAND — Maxine L. Sidelinger, 92, of Poland, died at home peacefully with her daughters by her side, Tuesday, Jan. 19. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Maxine was born in Lisbon, N.H., on April 29, 1923, the daughter of Earl and Louise Hobbs Clark. She married Alfred Sidelinger, her loyal and faithful husband of 57 years before his passing in 1999. Maxine was a homemaker and helped her husband in his contracting business and rental apartments. She was a loving mother to two daughters and was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Auburn where she served as a Sunday school teacher and deaconess.

She is survived by her daughters, Amber and Carla; grandsons, Kyle and Shawn; granddaughters, Heather and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Kailey, Derek, Fischer, Grace, Hayden, Gage and Mason; her “third daughter,” Deanna; two sisters, Marjorie and Jeannie; her best “pal,” Gabe; and faithful church friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; brothers, Kenneth and Milton; and sister, Shirley.

Special thanks to Charlotte, Carol and Ron, Jane and Steve for taking her to church for so many years. Thanks to Dr. Gushue for her constant support, Dr. Lataferti for making her feel “like a million bucks.” Thank-you to the Androscoggin Home Hospice for their compassionate staff, especially Tammy and Alice, and thanks to Nancy and Bill for their loving support.
