Modern square dance open house
LEWISTON — The Twin City Spinners, a modern square dance club, will start a new 12-week class at Martel Elementary School, 880 Lisbon St.
Classes will run from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. weekly on Thursdays, beginning Feb. 11. Cost is $60 for individuals or $120 for couples, payable at $5 or $10 weekly. Singles, couples and families are welcome. Children 17 and younger are free with a participating adult.
Two free open house dances will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 28, and Feb. 4.
Casual dress and new music are the standard for modern square dance.

Arts alliance to plan year’s events
BRUNSWICK — A Five Rivers Arts Alliance Members and Prospective Members Meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the Curtis Memorial Library, Pleasant Street.
The meeting will include a discussion about the alliance’s 2016 activities and opportunities for members to get involved.

League to hold banquet, dart shoot
LEWISTON — Central Maine Dart League will hold its dart banquet from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Schmengee’s Bar and Grille, 551 Lincoln St.
Happy hour will be from noon to 1 p.m., award from 1 to 2 p.m., and buffet from 2 to 3 p.m.
A dart shoot will follow. There is a $5 entry fee.
CMDL will donate the first $100 to shoot.
