This is in response to Barry Allen (Jan. 24) who responded to my letter of Jan. 17. It seems he took offense at my defense of Gov. Paul LePage.
At no time in my letter did I say that liberals should shut up. I was criticizing liberal legislators for their attempt to impeach the governor — a governor that the people of Maine elected … twice. Liberals just cannot get over the fact that they lost.
Everything that comes out of Gov. LePage’s mouth is offensive to a liberal. But I was mainly talking about the attempt at impeaching him, not free speech. Of course, liberals such as Allen can criticize him. I criticize President Obama every day. This is America.
By the way, I carry a printed copy of the U.S. Constitution with me. How many liberals can make the same claim?
