Pagan Potluck at Auburn UU
AUBURN — The First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St., will offer a family-friendly Pagan Potluck and Ritual on Wednesday, Feb. 3, to mark Imbolc. The ritual is open to church members and the greater Pagan community.
The potluck meal will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the ritual at 7 p.m. Bring plate, cup, utensils, cloth napkin and a dish to share. Those who have allergies or special dietary needs should provide appropriate food.
For the ritual, bring three feet of fabric ribbon or a fabric strip to be blessed. Donations of supplies and ritual items are welcome.

AARP Offering Tax Assistance
LEWISTON — The AARP Tax-Aide program is again offering free income tax help to people of all ages in the Lewiston, Auburn and surrounding areas.
Certified volunteers will prepare tax returns for taxpayers with low to moderate income. Taxpayers do not need to be more than 60 years of age nor a member of AARP.
The program is held each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Lewiston Armory.

The Ark announces speakers
LEWISTON — Michael Brown will speak on “From Rags to Riches” at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.
A vegan potluck will follow.
“Conquering Obesity and Diabetes,” a three-part series with Dr. Zach Mazone, Central Maine Medical Center, and Jane Kuntz, community herbalist, will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 9, 16 and 23.
