PORTLAND — The Maine Real Estate and Development Association will hold a seminar titled Morning Menu: The Changing Office Landscape — A look at Co-working, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Clarion Hotel, 1230 Congress St.
The buffet breakfast is from 7:30 to 8 a.m., with the program from 8 to 9 a.m.
Learn how the co-working model has grown at a near exponential rate in the past 10 years, highlighting the various types and structures that exist worldwide. As an example, WeWork, the largest global coworking franchise, was recently valued at $10 billion. How is this possible and what lessons can we learn by looking at this bold new paradigm? Presenters will be Patrick Roche and Ezekiel Callanan.
Roche is the president and owner of Think Tank Coworking, based in Portland with locations in Yarmouth, Biddeford and Boston. Think Tank is Northern New England’s largest network of co-working facilities, providing nearly 300 members with access to professional, creative and collaborative work space.
Callanan is the founder and managing member of Opticliff Law, a boutique law firm focusing on start-ups and trademark law. Callanan’s primary practice areas are company formation, growth strategy, securities law compliance, and creative problem solving.
Cost is $45 per person for members, $55 for non-members. That price increases by $10 after Feb. 18. Payment is expected at time of registration. No refunds granted to anyone who registers but fails to attend or who cancels after Feb. 18.
