LEWISTON — The Olive Branch Cafe at 791 Lisbon St. will host a grand opening Sunday, March 6.
Formerly The Ark, the new Olive Branch Cafe has a new management team, a new menu and the facility has received a face-lift. However, the mission remains the same, according to owners: provide wholesome affordable meals to a population wanting a healthier dining experience.
The cafe is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays. During the evenings, there will be health lectures, cooking classes, Bible studies and herbal remedy workshops.
Because the cafe is run by a nonprofit organization, the money made from the restaurant and donations from supporters make it possible for most of the classes to be provided free of charge.
