Merrymeeting Audubon offers scholarships

BRUNSWICK — Merrymeeting Audubon, a chapter of Maine Audubon, will award scholarships to two camps during the summer.

Children who live within the chapter’s catchment area (Brunswick, Bath, Topsham and surrounding towns) and are now in grades three through eight may apply to attend either of the University of Maine’s 4-H camps at Bryant Pond or Tanglewood Camp in Lincolnville.

Both offer programs that include environmental education.

Pre-K, kindergarten registration open

WINTHROP — Preschool and kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 year will take place at Winthrop Grade School.

Age requirement is 4 by Oct. 15, 2016, for preschool and 5 by Oct. 15 for kindergarten.

Screenings will be held in the spring.
