NORWAY — In recognition of the 150th anniversary of Norway Savings Bank, the bank was presented with a special Congressional Record statement by U.S. Sen. Angus King during a celebration at the Norway Savings Bank Maine Street branch in Brunswick earlier this month.
The statement recognized the bank’s longstanding and high-quality service to Maine people. King regional representative Ben Tucker also presented a copy of the Congressional Record statement to the bank’s original branch in Norway.
On hand for the presentation were Rep. Tom Winsor of Norway, Sen. Jim Hamper of Oxford and Patricia Weigel, president and CEO of Norway Savings Bank.
Winsor and Hamper also presented recognition of service to the bank from members of the state Senate and House of Representatives in honor of the bank’s 150th anniversary.
