NORWAY — Oxford Hills SCORE and the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring an ongoing marketing series, Marketing — Who Needs It?

Workshops are from 8 to 9 a.m. on the last Thursday of each month at the Norway Town Office. Product Descriptions That Sell is the topic for March 31. 

Marketing encompasses elements such as goal-setting, planning, budgeting, advertising, websites, brochures, business cards, branding, logos, pricing, packaging, networking and social media. A marketing program is a set of coordinated activities to help achieve marketing objectives. There are a variety of tools available to help, but key to successful marketing is to get organized and focused.

Upcoming agenda topics will include:

• Who is your ideal customer? (April);

• Competitive analysis and strategy;

Advertisement

• Advertising and promotion: Integrated marketing communications;

• Social media: What is its role in marketing?;

• Setting competitive and profitable prices;

• Service business marketing

Attend any or all of the workshops free of charge. Each participant will receive a binder containing all slides and reference materials to use as a guide for an individual marketing plan.

Presenters are Steve Veazey, discussion leader, a member of Oxford Hills SCORE, and Charlie Peabody, a member of Oxford Hills SCORE and a regular presenter of SCORE marketing workshops.
