Kyle Knauf as Hank and Janet Mitchko as Sheryl in the Off-Broadway hit, “What Rhymes with America,” opening Friday at The Public Theatre, 31 Maple St., Lewiston. This poignant and funny play explores the lives, hearts and heartbreak of a recently divorced dad, his estranged teenage daughter, a struggling actress and an endearing middle-aged virgin, as they each try to figure out how to move forward in their lives. Shows are scheduled for March 11, 12 13, 17, 18, 19, 20. Thursday and Friday performances are at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday’s the curtain goes up at 8.
