The Republican Party lit a fire with its tea-party faction. Now, the fire is burning out of control.
It is poetic justice that the GOP’s policy of exclusion and bigotry has spawned the uber-hater Donald Trump. He has won the support of a former grand dragon of the KKK, David Duke, and of Maine’s own Paul LePage. No surprise there.
I predict that if Trump wins the Republican convention, he will lose the General Election.
