OXFORD — More than 100 pizza enthusiasts gathered on Saturday, March 5, at the ninth annual Pizza Challenge at the Oxford Rec Center.

Local businesses entered the pizza contest to raise money for the Oxford Recreation Department. There were 36 pizzas available for sampling.

There were three categories to be entered and judged in: Cheese, pepperoni and a specialty pizza of the business’ choice.

The winners were: Best Cheese Pizza, Parkside Variety; Best Pepperoni Pizza, Polly’s Variety; and Best Specialty Pizza, Oxford Lil Mart. Winner of the Best Overall Award is Polly’s Variety. The award tallies total votes from all three categories each business received.
