Easter Sunrise Service for youth

POWNAL — High school and junior high school students are invited to join members of All Saints Parish Youth Ministry for an ecumenical sunrise service at the peak of Bradbury Mountain in Pownal at 6:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday, March 27. A service will also be held under shelter at the foot of the mountain for those unable to climb. The group will return to All Saints by 9 a.m.

HARRISON — The? ?Harrison ?United Parish Easter worship service ?will be at 10 am. Sunday, March 27, at 77 Main St.

There will be special trumpet music.

First Universalist Easter service

PARIS — The Easter Sunday worship service on March 27 at the First Universalist Church will be led by Silver Moore-Leamon. “The Good News” is the title of the 10 a.m. sermon.

Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service, and all are welcome. Childcare is available, and the church is wheelchair-accessible.

The First Universalist Church welcomes and celebrates all beliefs.

Sumner church plans supper

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will host a community supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at 50 Main St., Rte. 219.

Macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, salads, breads, dessert, coffee and punch, as well as a raffle of baked goods and household items will be available.

The proceeds will benefit the outreach mission of the Church. Donations are accepted for the meal.

Garments of Praise reopening

PARIS — Garments of Praise is reopening at South Paris Baptist Church, 1 Park St.

New hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays starting April 2. Inventory includes spring and summer gently used clothing.

Donations of clothing will be accepted at the church along with donations to benefit the local food bank.

Holy Savior Church Divine Mercy

MEXICO — Holy Savior Church will observe Divine Mercy Sunday at 2:30 p.m. April 3.

Deacon Rod Berger will be the speaker. There will be light refreshments served following the service in the church hall.

Divine Mercy Sunday celebrations

LEWISTON — The Prince of Peace Parish will hold two celebrations for Divine Mercy Sunday, April 3.

Jubilee Year of Mercy Pilgrimage Opportunity on Diving Mercy Sunday: 10 a.m. at Basilica Church on Ash Street. Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday will be followed by a public outdoor procession with the image of Christ the Divine Mercy. This image will be enthronement in the Basilica chapel.

Divine Mercy Chaplet: 3 p.m. at Holy Family Church, Sabattus Street. The Church will pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and have Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Confessions will be heard starting at 4 p.m.

Divine Mercy at Sacred Heart

AUBURN — Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated after the 11 a.m. Mass on April 3 at Sacred Heart Church on the corner of Minot and Western Avenues.

The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard will escort the Divine Mercy Icon, which was blessed by Saint Pope John Paul II, in procession at the entrance of Mass. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song will follow.

All Honor Guard members from the State of Maine are welcome to attend and walk in the procession with the Icon. Those interested are asked to arrive no later than 10:15 a.m. with regalia.
