WILTON — Registration is now open for Maine Old Cemetery Association’s Preservation Workshop at Weld Street Cemetery.
The workshop runs from Aug. 19 to 22. While recommended, it is not required that registrants attend all four days.
Joe Farranniini will lead the workshop. His profession involves assessing cemetery work, mapping/documenting cemetery information, resetting stones, straightening stones and resetting falling monuments.
The programming is recommended for genealogists, historical society members, church members, educators and students, town officials and employees, town sexton and cemetery committee members and veteran and civic organization leaders.
Registration must be completed by Aug. 1. Space is limited. There is no registration fee; donations of all amounts accepted.
