1990 – 2016

AUBURN — Joshua Ryan Titus, 25, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.

He was born in Sfintesti Village, Romania, on Oct. 14, 1990. As an infant, he traveled to the United States to join his adoptive parents, Andrew and Carolyn Titus, and his brother, Nathan, of Auburn. He attended Auburn schools and was a 2009 graduate of Edward Little High School. He was employed by Bates College and took great pride in being part of the food service team.

Josh had a passion for being part of a team and was a true sports enthusiast. He was a fan and follower of high school, collegiate and pro sport teams. Among his favorites were the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and the Maine Red Claws.

Josh brought spirit and enthusiasm to gatherings, whether this was a family holiday, a community fundraiser or a sporting event. He emulated an “all-in” commitment to his interests, his family and his friends.

His presence had a way of causing the people around him to pause, appreciate all the situation had to offer. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten, as he has made many memories to be cherished.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Andrew and Carolyn Titus; his brother, Nathan Titus; grandmother, Dolores Mottram; and uncles and aunts, John and Mary Lou Titus, Bill and Shirley Titus, Robert and Diana Bernier, and Kenneth and Kathy Sonagere; cousins, Kelly Bernier, Christie Bernier, William Titus, Joel Titus, Matthew Sonagere and Kate Sonagere.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Muriel Titus and Gerald Mottram.
