SOUTH PARIS — Stephen A. Paul, 69, of South Paris passed away on Wednesday, April 6, at his residence.
Stephen was born in Norway on Sept. 9, 1946, the son of Frederick Paul and Bernice (Parsons) Paul. He attended Norway schools and graduated from Oxford Hills High School.
For many years, he worked at Wilner Wood Products until its closing and then sold wood from the woodlots he owned.
Stephen enjoyed cutting firewood, his beloved dogs, Peppy I and Peppy II, and going to many church dinners. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Vietnam War and lived in South Paris his entire life.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy and his wife, Jennifer, of South Paris, and Daniel and his companion, Aime Fillds, of West Paris; his daughter, Jennifer Shurak and her husband, Kenneth, of Skowhegan; his sister, Cynthia Curtis and her husband, Larry, of South Paris; and five grandchildren, Kimberly Paul, Savannah Shurak, Zach Tewksbury, Sterling Paul and Scarlett Paul.
