Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Sarah Scott (UT); Freshmen — Abby Ferland (C/3b), Haylee Langlois (1b/OF); Emily Kaplan (UT), Mariah Herr (UT).
Season outlook: The Mustangs are very young on paper with just two seniors. Still, Monmouth has some experienced varsity talent back, including two starting pitchers in Canning and Chasse. Day led the team in RBI’s last year while Anderson was also an offensive catalyst. Despite its youth, the Mustangs should be a solid club that should challenge in the MVC.
