1945 – 2016
AUBURN — Raymond J. Bosse, 71, formerly of New Auburn, died early Saturday morning, April 16, at Clover Manor.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 3, 1945, one of three boys born to Wallace and Marie Rita (Bourgoin) Bosse. Ray was educated in Lewiston schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. He first worked for several years in the bakery at Country Kitchen and later worked for many years as a painter at Bath Iron Works. Growing up, he attended St. Mary’s Church, and then St. Louis Church for many years when his parents moved the family to New Auburn.
He enjoyed doing puzzles. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family, his brothers, nieces and nephews. Ray was a loving and hardworking brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his brother, Richard Bosse of Lewiston; three nieces, Lisa R. Morin and friend, Rick Allen, Sherry L. Duke and husband, Chris, and Angela Austin and husband, Richard; a nephew, Michael Bosse and his wife, Miok; six grandnieces, Dominique Morin, Olivia Morin, Anne Bosse, June Bosse, Shelby Austin and Kasey Austin; and one grandnephew, Xavier J. Vega.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Joseph Ralph Bosse.
