WINTHROP — The Bailey Library’s Winthrop Lakes Region Forum will continue with award-winning novelist and nature writer Bill Roorbach at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in the King Event Room on the first floor of the downtown library. Roorbach will discuss his newest and much-acclaimed novel “The Remedy for Love.”

Roorbach is the author of nine books of fiction and nonfiction, including the bestselling “Life Among Giants,” a novel that is now under development as a multi-year series on HBO. The 10th anniversary edition of his craft book, “Writing Life Stories,” is used in writing programs around the world. His work has been published in Harper’s, the Atlantic Monthly, the New York Times Magazine, and dozens of other magazines and journals. Previously, Roorbach was the recipient of the prestigious Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction, and O. Henry Award for short stories. Roorbach grew up in Connecticut, attended Ithaca College and Columbia University, and taught at the University of Maine Farmington, Ohio State University, Colby College and the College of the Holy Cross.
