RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial for Muriel M. Arsenault of Roxbury was celebrated Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant.

Organist was Mark Belanger and altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Music selections included “Ave Maria,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd” and “J-are Le Voir Un Jour.” The first reading from the Book of Wisdom from the Old Testament was proclaimed by her son-in-law, James Wendt. The second reading from the first Letter of Paul to the Thessalonians from the New Testament was proclaimed by her daughter-in-law, Sally Arsenault. Prayers of the Faithful were pronounced by her daughter-in-law, Sally Arsenault. Presentation of the Gifts were offered by Jessica and Heather Phillips. The Eulogy was given by her daughter, Sylvia Wendt. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Greg Dube.

Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Pallbearers were Andrew Wendt, Rich Golden, Gerald Arsenault, Leo Arsenault, Steve Arsenault, Lenny Arsenault, Joey Arsenault and Mike Phillips. A reception followed in the Parish Hall of the Church and served by St. Timothy Circle, Daughters of Isabella.

Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
