FARMINGTON — The Office of the State Fire Marshal has been contacted to help determine the cause of pole barn fire Tuesday evening at 656 Mosher Hill Road.
Karen and Patrick Cyr, owners, were eating dinner when Karen Cyr said she saw flames shooting out from the barn located behind the house and garage.
It was going strong as the couple attempted to hose down the house and garage and move their vehicles before firefighters arrived. The fire was called in just before 6 p.m.
The barn contained an antique tractor from the 1940s, tools, canoes, kayaks and 30 years of treasures, Karen Cyr said at the scene.
Several fire departments including Wilton, New Vineyard, Industry and New Sharon arrived to help Farmington Fire and Rescue.
